cassandra complex brings together six international artists to capture the intensifying feeling of alienation in the age of climate crisis. acknowledging this moment as a significant turning point in human history, the exhibition tells a cautionary tale, using poetic reasoning to depict how the dialectic of nature and that of history are deeply interconnected. although it shows how deep the roots of contemporary alienation run in our culture, cassandra complex also carries within it a sliver of optimism. the six artists in the exhibition bring new worlds into being and reconfigure worlds that have been marginalized, overlooked, or silenced, transforming the paralyzing feeling of estrangement into a feeling of hope and resistance.
