From a biographical perspective, my curatorial practice has always been connected to life in the most banal sense of that word: Imagine someone breastfeeding while also trying to hang work. But have the exhibitions of the past 29 years been "of life"? Or does their value rather lie in their separation from life? In other words, have they been useful? This talk is an attempt to reflect on these questions.
