'EI BLOT TIL LYST' is written above the old stage of the Royal Danish Theatre. The phrase was placed in 1774 and serves as a subtle reminder of the theatre’s moral and educational role in society. 'EI BLOT TIL LYST' meaning “not just for pleasure” or “not only for entertainment” also reflect the theater’s position in providing cultural and societal significance and enlightenment. It is also a statement that hits very close to home for 2112’s founder Caroline Bøge, who as an art historian and former ballet dancer is a strong believer in the transformative power of the arts.

The exhibition runs until July 22nd.

Opening hours: Thursday-Friday 12-18, Saturday 12-15 and by appointment.
Please note that the gallery is closed in week 30 + 31

2112 was founded in 2016 as an art advisory located in an office near Kongens Nytorv. During the first couple of years the business grew into also including artist representation with a focus on female artists. In 2019 2112 relocated to the industrial Northwest part of Copenhagen to open a showroom. Following some great years in NV 2112 are now excited to return to the historical and charming area of Gammelholm in the heart of Copenhagen. Furthermore, the move marks a new phase for 2112 as a hybrid gallery, which continues to embrace art advisory, artist representation, international collaborations and more.
