C. G. Williams is pleased to present a solo exhibition of Lukas Heerich, his first in Italy, on the occasion of the 59th Biennale d’Arte.
Lukas Heerich (b. Düsseldorf, 1989) lives and works between Berlin and Paris. His practice ranges across a number of media, including installation, sculpture, painting, sound, composition, photography, and performance.
Heerich trained at the Kunstakademie, Düsseldorf, where he was Meisterschüler of Andreas Gursky, and at the Städelschule, Frankfurt, where he graduated in 2020.
Drawn from the last seven years of Heerich's practice, the show consists of nine pieces, made of four materials: rubber, stainless steel, lime, and flame retardant.
Works by Heerich have been reconceived in direct response to the Garden of Palazzo Soranzo Cappello.
C. G. Williams is a new contemporary art gallery founded by Caspar Giorgio Williams.
