Helen Marten is an artist and writer based in London. In 2016, Marten was awarded the Turner Prize and was the inaugural recipient of the Hepworth Prize for Sculpture. She participated in the 55th and 56th Venice Biennales. She has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout the world. Marten's first novel, The Boiled in Between was published by Prototype in 2020. She is currently working on a second novel, A Polite History of Vandalism, and a book of collected art writings and theory, Mud Physics. Her work is held in the public collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York; Tate, London; The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, DC; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam among many others
