Rossella Biscotti will talk about a few key works, drawing a line from earlier works till recent ones, particularly considering multi-vocality, representation of subjectivities and their relation to state institutions. Reflecting on montage and weaving as a way of construct narratives, cutting across filmmaking, performance and sculpture, she will unpack her working process methodology and display.
For the past decade Rossella Biscotti (1978, Italy) has been living and working between the Netherlands and her research sites. Rossella Biscotti has taken part in major international exhibitions including 55th Venice Biennale and 13th Istanbul Biennale (2013), dOCUMENTA 13 and Manifesta 9 (2012) and had solo shows in various institutions including Kunsthaus Baselland, Basel (2018), V-A-C Foundation at Gulag Museum, Moscow (2016), Museion, Bozen (2015), Haus Lange and Haus Esters, Krefeld, WIELS, Brussels and Sculpture Center, New York (2014) e-flux, New York and Secession, Vienna (2013). She is currently artist in residence at the DAAD, Berlin.
