The Archive
The Städelschule's archive is strongly oriented towards the needs and creative work of students, teachers and researchers.
The archive preserves not only administrative documents of the institution, but also artistic works, documentation of projects, photographs, audiovisual media and writings that are important for the history and identity of the school.
The archive offers extensive source material for researching the institutional history of the Städelschule as well as past exhibitions and publications of the Portikus. The holdings include documents, correspondence, audio, photo and video documentation as well as publications.
