Alan B. Brock-Richmond (*1970 in California/US) graduated in art from the Monterey Peninsula College in Monterey, California, and obtained a diploma in audio production from the University of Washington in Seattle. He has been a member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences since 2005. He studied under Professor Douglas Gordon at the Städelschule from 2010 to 2013.
The work Sound Wave is a three-part film concept in the form of a screenprint. It consists of three graphics Sound Wave I, II and III. The analysis and progression of characteristic wave phenomena, like the ones in acoustics but that also appear in light or in water, are portrayed here pictorially.
