Chaeheun Park lives and works in Frankfurt am Main. She obtained a BFA from Chung-Ang University in Korea in 2021. Joining Städeslchule the following year. She thinks of painting as a malleable interface existing between culture and daily life. The work is often diaristic in nature. The edition of 13 etchings on Hahnemühle 300gsm paper consists of drawings stemming from screenshots taken during online German classes while on lockdown, and Albrecht Dürer’s Melancholia.

The edititon The edition consists of works created exclusively for the Städelschule Portikus e.V. and the proceeds of which go exclusively to the students. The student edition is published parallel to the respective professor edition. Chaehuen Park was selected by Monika Baer from the students in her class.
