Jakob Brugge & Kristin Reiman
Jakob Brugge (*1990, Los Angeles) studied in the class of Willem de Rooij from 2016 to 2019. Kristin Reiman (*1992, Tallinn) studied from 2017 to 2019 in the film class of Douglas Gordon, Laure Prouvost, Gerard Byrne and Wu Tsang.
Graduate Prize
On the occasion of the graduate exhibition 2019 Air Conditioned at the Städel Museum, Jakob Brugge and Kristin Reiman received the graduate prize of the Städelschule Portikus e.V., endowed with € 2,000.
The jury justified the first time award of two positions as follows: "It was extremely difficult to decide on one position this year, but we would like to honor Jakob Brugge's detailed concept on the one hand and Kristin Reiman's courage to create a film without pictures on the other, based on the medium of the opera."
