25. – 30.1.19
Opening: 24.1.19, 7 pm
In the exhibition Rips, Felix Becker uses the space of fffriedrich as a starting point for his site-specific work. By looking at the white cube through an architectural lense, the basic structure of the room is used to set the focus on its interior. A new con-templation of the room is made possible through this artistic inspection. At the same time, the materials used pay homage to traditional interior design, past and present.
Felix Becker (*1987, Frankfurt/Main) studied Art Education, Philosophy, Political Science and Media Studies at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main before moving to Berlin in 2015 to major in Art at the University of the Arts. Since then, he has lived in Berlin, taking part in group exhibitions such as Five Days, Five Artists (Haus am Waldsee, 2017) and KOMBI 6 (Art Center Kunstquartier Bethanien, 2018). Furthermore, the gallery Maus Contemporary presented the artist at the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair (2018).
