We celebrate autumn Solstice - Equinox

Nowogród (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship), Poland

The time of the solstice, is a new beginning, an old end. The earth will now need rest, our care and concern. Let's give thanks for the crops, for the sun, for the juices of life, let's give her a break!

The event in Nowogród will be held for the third time. There will be dancing around the harvest wreath, singing Kuyavian songs from the archives of Mrs. Henryka Wojtczak, a fire, eggs, bread, water, wind and soil.

We invite you to play music together! Bring warm blankets to sit by the fire.

We also invite you to meetings in Nowogród in the common room of the Rural Housewives' Association where we will make harvest wreaths to wear on the head and make costumes for the event. Thursday-Friday from the afternoon. Send a message if you want to participate.

Equinox is a continuation of the 'Solstice' event which took place in June 2018 at Grodzisko mound in Nowogród, initiated by Alicja Wysocka and Joanna Rajkowska.
