With THE EDUCATIONAL WEB, the Kunstverein in Hamburg brings artistic practice into dialogue with education and pedagogy. For the exhibition, a total of eight art schools and programs are invited, which see themselves as alternatives to the traditional "art academy" and are now a central part of the contemporary art landscape. Over a four-month platform, perspectives on teaching models and pedagogical strategies are opened up. THE EDUCATIONAL WEB consists of a series of exhibition formats, ranging from the active creation of a new "program," the curated group exhibition, the "solo exhibition" of an institutional subject, to exhibitions by current or former participants, as well as social spaces designed for discourse and exchange, all of which reflect the tendencies of art education and production spanning past and future.
