A Reading Performance
Saturday, 14th of October / 19:00
Hopscotch Reading Room / Gerichtsstraße 45, 13347 Berlin
Is love a gift, a craft, a calling or a quest? No matter the claims of its demise and deterioration in the course of Western modernity, love seems ever more present today. Always at hand. We swipe for love, we tap for it. The more ubiquitous its avatars, the more ephemeral, mystified, removed love feels? But what do we speak of when we speak of love? And how?
Our responses emerge from the seminar “Love: A Glossary of Affects” with Omar Kasmani at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste-Städelschule in Frankfurt (Main). Texts and readings by Aline Sofie Rainer, Augustine Paredes, Divijah Rajendra, Emily Dietrich, Hendrik Arns, Neal Hoey, Rosa Nitzsche and Sam Cottington.
