Die Absolvent*innenausstellung
The Absolvent*innenausstellung (Graduate Show) is the culmination of studies at the Städelschule. Since 2000, at the end of the summer semester, a group of 20–40 students from all classes present final works. Organized in collaboration with the students, the Absolvent*innenausstellung is curated by the Artistic Coordinators of Städelschule, and often accompanied by a performance program and a publication (see here, graduate publications from the past).
The ‘Absolvent*innen’ prizes and stipends
Heinz und Gisela Friederichs Stiftung, Sammlung Pohl gGmbH and Städelschule Portikus e.V., sponsor prizes and stipends for graduating students. The prize winners are selected together with a changing external guest juror.
