Fascism and Islamophobia
(Gendered Islamophobia, Nazism, Ideology, Orientalism)
The talk will present a brief structural analysis of Islamophobia and the various emergent ways in which it presents itself across genders. Detailing on the role that ideology has played historically in fascist regimes, the speaker would establish parallels between various regimes. The talk will further focus on the colonial history of orientalist scholarship and the way it affects the present day questions around identity of both Indian Muslims and Hindus.

– Master of Arts from Städelschule, Frankfurt.
– Worked as an architect and an urban designer in India and Germany.
– Currently working as an independent architect and a writer.
– She has written for various publications including TRT world, The wire and Maktoob media.
