Film screening and performance
July 4th, 2024, 8pm, Hafen2 Offenbach
Water not only runs through our environment and our bodies, but is simultaneously a vessel of our histories, myths and memories. With Tales of Water, the Curatorial Studies Class 2023 invites you to delve into this narrative potential through performance and video. The works negotiate our connection with the element, explore water in the context of cultural traditions and enable the shared imagination of new realities or dystopian future scenarios. To what extent can bodies of water be understood as a fluid archive of personal and collective memories? Whose stories rise to the surface and which sink to the bottom of oblivion?
With works from: Ursula Biemann, Catherina Cramer & Giulietta Ockenfuß, Igor Furtado, Tamara Goehringer, Carlos Irijalba, Thảo Nguyên Phan, Deniz Şimşek and Alicja Wysocka.
We are looking forward to seeing you—admission is free!
