“Consider: There is no division of humanity into strong and weak halves, protective/protected, dominant/submissive, owner/chattel, active/passive. In fact the whole tendency to dualism that pervades human thinking may be found to be lessened, or changed, on Winter.”
––Ursula K. Le Guin, The Left Hand of Darkness
Coco Fitterman (b. 1998) is a writer from New York. Her chapbook Say It With Flowers was published in 2017 by Inpatient Press. She has read in New York at MoMA PS1, American Medium, and elsewhere, and in Berlin at HKW, TROPEZ, and LOW TEXT.
Simon Speiser (b. 1988) studied Fine Arts in ABK Stuttgart and Städelschule Frankfurt, with Christian Jankowski, Alexander Roob, Willem de Rooij, Michael Krebber and Mark von Schlegell. In his practice he develops fictional concepts and ideas that merge nature and technology. This often brings various disciplines into dialogue, ranging from writing, sculpture and installation to printing, video and VR. He took part in several group and solo shows in institutions, galleries and project spaces including the Frankfurter Kunstverein, MMK Frankfurt, Oracle Berlin, Croy Nielsen, MMCA Seoul and Robert Grunenberg.
Caique Tizzi (1984, São Paulo, Brazil) lives and works in Berlin.
Tizzi is an artist, organiser and cook. He is the co-founder of Agora Collective, where he directed from 2014-2018 the Berlin component of the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme (CAPP), co-funded by Creative Europe. Tizzi is interested in the development of social art practices, experimental methods of group work and interdisciplinary processes. The focus of his practice revolves around an artistic approach to food, where the kitchen becomes part a studio, part a laboratory. Since 2017, Caique Tizzi organises Babes Bar together with Adam Fearon. Tizzi has collaborated and contributed with his work for organisations like the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlinische Galerie, Martin Gropius Bau, Kunsthalle Osnabrück, Medialab Prado Madrid, Goethe Institut Kuala Lumpur amongst others.
Chelsea Turowsky is an American transdisciplinary artist working in food and text. She is the chef behind OMIOMI, a plant based culinary project in San Francisco, California. Her menus revolve around the pairing of diet with concept (memory, dream, landscape, poem).
