I am honored to be broadcasting live in Radio X this sunday the 2nd Edition of Poesía Abs0luta.  The 1st Edition was broadcasted live in 2019 in Cashmere Radio (Berlin) with Rafael Martín Calvo, a Spanish poet living in Latvia. I had randomly found an edition out of the 500 of his poetry book "De repente, mineral" in a secondhand bookshop in Barcelona and looked him up online. The only potential lead I found online was an email address in Research gate, from an author of a certain academic paper with the same exact name. It was a long shot, but it was him, and he replied. I also managed to spike his curiosity enough to make him come from Latvia to Berlin and seep his velvety liquid words into the radio frequencies.

This second episode may seem at a first glance less fated. Maybe we will connect the dots later. For me it has something of sweet remembrance and sting of nostalgia, since Vinzenz Reinecke's poetry, and Marius Presterud was like home to me (strange AND familiar) representing the years together in the poetry scene in Berlin between 2016 and 2019; with all its glory, revelations, uplifting secret artist meetings, mediocre open mics and scandals in various events across different bars, apartments and basements in Berlin. It was a formative time of sorts in a poetic sense. And this scene- like live- goes on of course also in my absence, as voices come and go. And new ones emerge that I heard of and I am curious about: like Dean, Reeve or and Zeke Greenwald.

I wonder, if Marius, still writes short concise (but rich) images. I took pride in analysing their styles, also Ron's (Ingalla) and Alexes (Norton) and all the others from our circle: finding patterns, ways of grasping, relating...
