There is only one planet Earth, which we all share. And there are many different perspectives on it. Can we agree on how it might be saved? There is also only one River Main, which flows from Offenbach to Frankfurt. And here too, many different viewpoints come together. For Theater der Welt 2023 students from Offenbach and Frankfurt will construct mobile research stations that they will set up at four points along the Main, from which members of the audience may observe the world critically from a range of different angles. ‘Landing. Mobile Research Incubator Units’ is a transdisciplinary project by UNITED INSTITUTES, a combination of students from the University of Art and Design in Offenbach, the Städelschule in Frankfurt, and Tokyo University of the Arts.
