Welcome to a twofold venture into the body as a medium in motion and the ensuing absence thereof. Witness a process-based perusal into the relationship between non-traditional materials, labour-based processes, and the body. Play spectator to a frolicsome exploration into new physical and material territories amidst temporal and spatial flux. Be entertained by the theatre of the art school so diligently serving as backdrop. Cloak yourself in the potential of fashion as a socio-economic fantasy that produces actual material objects. Envisage works displayed both in relation to and separate from the body in the complementary formats of IN ACTU. IN POTENTIA.

IN ACTU. is a performed interpretation of the runway as a site of action. It is a transitory experiment into the physical body as dynamic medium. The process of enrobing the moving body goes beyond corporeal representation and fixed forms, as art and fashion fantastically coalesce with the cultural and commercial.

IN POTENTIA. sheds the body and motion. Once ephemerally shown in relation to the moving body, a selection of works is rethought in an exhibition context. The transition sees the exhibition format traverse both the immaterial realm of the body and that of the material object. Static material comparison unveils the absent body in all its imagined potential.
