Nora Turato: Lecture
Nora Turato will present a general discussion on her relationship to language which forms the backbone of her multi-faceted practice, which encompasses performance, wall-painting, video, publications, print and enamel works. Turato will speak of working within cycles, from where she pulls her source material and how the different components of her practice relate to each other. She will speak about the role that typography plays within her work, as well as voice as a tool.
Nora Turato (*1991, Zagreb) lives and works in Amsterdam. Recent solo exhibitions include Museum of Modern Art, New York (2022), Secession, Vienna (2021), MGLC: International Centre of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana (2020), Sammlung Philara, Düsseldorf (2020), Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Porto (2019), Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein (2019) and Beursschouwburg, Brussels (2019). Nora Turato will be presenting a major new commission at Performa in New York in November this year.
The lecture will be held in English.
