With rector Yasmil Raymond and jury members Övül Ö. Durmuşoğlu (Independent Curator), Monika Baer (Städelschule Professor of Painting) and David Dreyfus (member of Städelschule Portikus e.V.), award sponsors, faculty members, students, and awardees (Mensa, Dürerstraße 10).
Städelschule opens its doors to the public for Rundgang, the annual student exhibition, featuring open studios, lectures, performances, and screenings with free admission to all programs.
Throughout the course of three days, visitors have access to the presentations of works by students from Fine Arts Professors Monika Baer, Gerard Byrne, Benjamin Foerster-Baldenius, Judith Hopf, Hassan Khan, Tobias Rehberger, Willem de Rooij, and Haegue Yang; Art Theory Professors Daniel Birnbaum and Isabelle Graw, Guest Professors Clémentine Deliss, Niklas Maak and Asad Raza, Research Fellow Monika Szewczyk, and Visiting Author Omar Kasmani. SStudents exhibit recent works at both locations, Dürerstraße 10 and Daimlerstaße 32, with scheduled film screenings at the DFF–Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum cinema, and present an accompanying program of performances. Additionally, students from Curatorial Studies – Theory – History – Criticism, a collaborative study program with Goethe University, host the Water Cooler Talks with guest curators and critics. A selection of Städelschule and Portikus publications and editions are available for purchase in the library. At Portikus visitors will have one last chance to visit the exhibition Inflorescence by Ximena Garrido-Lecca (b. 1980, Peru), closing on Sunday, February 12, 2023.

The Water Cooler Talks is a series of lectures conceived and executed by students of the Curatorial Studies program that focuses on current artistic practices and curatorial-related topics. This year's premise of the talks is "Interrogating Spaces".

Rundgang is accompanied by a film program at the DFF – Deutsches Filminstitut & Filmmuseum presented in time blocks on each of the three days. A selection of short films and cinematic sketches from all fine art classes by Arhun Aksakal, Rachel Ashton, Gabbi Cattani, Hyera Choi, Gabriele Ciulli, Camille Clair, Sam Cottington, Elisa Diafera, Rashiyah Elanga, John Hussain Flindt, Uma Kim Gómez, Giulia Guidi, Zishi Han, Paul Haas, Louis Hay, Neal Hoey, Raúl Itamar, Mahya Ketabchi, Gašper Kunšič, Antonio López, Giulia Poppi, Salome Potskhverashvili, Mahmoud Tarek, Jia Jun Nicholas Toh, Alicja Wysocka and Weronika Wysocka will be shown. Established in 1987, as an extension of Städelschule’s public programs, Portikus is dedicated to exhibiting, publishing and discussing the work of emerging as well as established artists. During Rundgang, Ximena Garrido-Lecca’s exhibition Inflorescence, curated by Liberty Adrien and Carina Bukuts, will be on view. More information on the Portikus website.
