Flaka Haliti is an artist based in Munich and Prishtina. Haliti's artistic practice includes mixed media, sculpture, and spatial installation with a decidedly site-conscious responsive approach. Haliti’s hybrid practice emphasizes altered perceptions on a visual level, as well as in conceptual methods to engage in political reflections and geopolitical preoccupations from an eco-feminist perspective. She represented her native country Kosovo at the Venice Biennial in 2015. Including other individual exhibitions such as at the mumok - Museum Modern Art in Vienna; Cukrarna Gallery; S.A.L.T.S. Kunstverein Birsfelden; Kunsthalle Lingen; Kunstverein Friedrichshafen; Kunsthaus Hamburg; National Museum of Fine Arts, Tirana; The National Gallery of Kosovo etc. Group exhibitions including Museum Ludwig Cologne; Museum Lenbachhaus Munich; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin among others. With further participation in biennials such as 6th Moscow Biennial; Busan Biennial; 14th Baltic Triennial; 3rd Autostrada Biennial; Fellbach Triennial; Manifesta 14 and Steirischer Herbst ‘22. In 2019 she was shortlisted for the Preis der Nationalgalerie 2019 and was exhibited at the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin.
