Judith Hopf is an artist based in Berlin and since 2008 Professor of Fine Arts of the Städelschule. Coming to prominence among a generation of artists working in Berlin in the 1990s, she uses humor and wit to address the politics of art making, group dynamics, and the impact of technology on perception and human experience. One-person exhibitions include recent presentations at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin; National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen; the Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Museion, Bolzano, Italy; Neue Galerie, Kassel; Maumaus, Lisbon; and PRAXES Center for Contemporary Art, Berlin. She also participated in dOCUMENTA (13), La Biennale de Montréal in 2016 and the Liverpool Biennial in 2014.
