Jenny Nachtigall

Art Theory

Jenny is Professor of Art Theory in interim, replacing Isabelle Graw from 4/2019 until 9/2020. Previously Nachtigall was a lecturer in aesthetic theory at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich (2014-19) and has worked at University College London, Tate Modern, London and the Humboldt University Berlin a.o. Nachtigall teaches and research the history and theory of modern and contemporary art, with a focus on the social grammar of form, questions of media, gender and race. She currently works in on the afterlives of vitalisms in art and theory since 1900.
