Gerard Byrne teaches as professor of the film class, succeeding Douglas Gordon. Gerard Byrne is an Irish visual artist, whose work frequently draws from archival media material and manifests itself primarily as photography, film, theatre, or multi-screen installations. Recent projects include solo exhibitions at secession, Vienna; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; ACCA, Melbourne; Kunstmuseum St. Gallen; and FRAC Pays de la Loire, France. He took part in the 2017 edition of Skulptur Projekte Münster, dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel as well as the 52nd and the 54th Venice Biennale.
