Ian Edmonds (*1984 in Vancouver/CA) lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. He studied fine art under Professor Judith Hopf at the Städelschule from 2012 to 2015.

The to-go cup isn’t ordinarily elevated outside of its use-value: it serves its purpose effectively as a convenient, disposable container. In this case, the copy of the copy of the copy of the to-go coffee cup signifies a post-Fordist (industrial production) world of high caffeine-fuelled personal production. Here, the to-go cup-as-container becomes a carrier for manifold potential actions, contents and contexts.
