Michael Krebber (*1954 in Köln/DE) was professor of painting at the Städelschule from 2002 to 2016. The neon lettering Die Hundejahre sind vorbei is a title design for a future film series by the Krebber class, a multiplied object and a positive sign after a time of crisis and trouble. It also contributed financially to improving the film projection conditions in the Städelschule’s refectory. Michael Krebber’s painting plays with ideas of negativity. To be able to convey something like this requires film, literature and an active recording studio.
