Peter Fischli (*1952 in Zürich/CH) is one of Switzerland’s best-known artists. In his work (until 2012 with his late artistic partner David Weiß) he uses a great range of artistic forms of expression, from film to photography and sculpture, involving a wide variety of materials and multimedia installations. Their themes are objects and situations from everyday life that are humorously and ironically placed in an artistic context and thus pose philosophical und theoretical questions to produce an explanation of the world. Peter Fischli has been a professor at the Stadelschule since 2015.
